BREAKING: ANINRI YOUTH COALITION PAYS FAMILIARISATION VISIT TO BARR. LIOYD EKWEREMADU, CELEBRATES SEN. IKE EKWEREMADU @64
The Aninri Youth Coalition, an umbrella body uniting youth groups and associations across the 10 political wards of Aninri Local Government Area, paid a familiarisation visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Barr. Lloyd Ekweremadu, at his office in Enugu State.
Speaking during the visit, the Coordinator of the Coalition, Comr. Okoro Ignatius Chukwumerije, appreciated the Commissioner for granting the youths audience and gave a detailed overview of the Coalition’s structure and grassroots strength across Aninri LGA. He described the Coalition as a unified platform committed to promoting good governance, quality representation, youth inclusiveness, and empowerment.
Other speakers, including Comr. Chukwunta Marcellus, Comr. Mba Anthony Onyedika, Miss Emelda Mbamalu, and Emeka John Chukwu (School Bus), emphasized the need for sustained youth-focused governance, job creation, empowerment opportunities, and active youth participation in leadership. They commended Barr. Lloyd Ekweremadu for his innovative leadership style, honesty, and commitment to youth development, while also appreciating the Governor of Enugu State, , for giving youths meaningful roles in his administration.
The speakers further reaffirmed the Coalition’s readiness to mobilize and support progressive initiatives aimed at advancing the interests of Aninri youths and the state at large.
In his response, Hon. Barr. Lloyd Ekweremadu expressed profound gratitude to the Coalition, describing the visit as a strong encouragement to continue serving diligently. He also appreciated Governor Peter Mbah for the opportunity to serve in the administration.
The Commissioner highlighted some of the achievements recorded under his leadership, including the rebranding of , the club’s NPFL title victory, the revival of sports competitions in Enugu State, rehabilitation of the NYSC orientation camp, vocational training programmes, and startup empowerment packages for youths across the state.
He further commended the Coalition for speaking up on behalf of Aninri youths and assured them of his readiness to partner with the group in future youth-oriented programmes and activities.
The high point of the visit was the celebration of the 64th birthday of . Members of the Coalition acknowledged his positive contributions to Aninri and Nigeria at large, sang birthday songs in his honour, and prayed for his safe return to Nigeria.
